Ingenova is developing the engineering for the new enerfuel reception and transportation facility in the factory that CEMEX Spain has in Morata de Jalón (Zaragoza).
This engineering consists of the foundations for the reception and transportation of the new line; new pit and expansion of the existing one; magnetic separator building structure foundation; and foundation and metal structure of the filter maintenance system.
The use of waste as an alternative fuel in energy-intensive facilities, such as cement plants, is a perfectly proven use. The possibility of being able to use waste as a substitute fuel in production processes and thus reduce the consumption of fossil fuels, represents important synergies, such as the management of greenhouse gas emissions and the possibility of using existing facilities.
For this reason, CEMEX Spain has opted for the diversification of its energy sources, pursuing the following objectives:
- Reduce greenhouse emissions (e.g. CO2)
- Save fossil fuels for future generations
- Recover energy from waste
- Reduce the need for landfills and methane gas emissions associated with the decomposition of waste
- Reduce dependence and energy costs in Spain
